We have partnered with an event center in Cedar Park, TX and are needing to hire Forklift Operators to join the event conversion team! Conversion crew members are responsible for the set-up and tear-down of sport, concert, and private events such as dinners, graduations, corporate events, etc. Given that this is an events based schedule, the hours and days vary month to month. The event schedule is announced in advance but given the nature of public events, changes to this schedule are always a possibility. Joining the team as a Forklift Operator pays $20/hr and provides a full benefits package (details below).
Individuals will be responsible for:
Assists with pulling, stacking, and movement of event materials.Materials include decking, railings, chairs, temporary barriers, etc.Ensure that materials are stored in compliance with storage design for efficient retrieval and access.When not operating the forklift, will be required to assist with manual functions required for event conversion completion.Driving forklift in an arena environment, at time this will include driving on ice.Work Experience
Qualified candidates for this role are individuals who meet the following:
Stand, stoop, kneel and bend for extended periods of time.Forklift certification (sit-down)Ability to recognize conversion needs and what materials are needed to keep the conversion on time in a proactive manner.Able to lift upwards of 50lbs individually.Ability to change propane fuel tanks as necessary.Have flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays and understand the flexibility needed for an events based schedule.Prior experience in an arena or event space is a plus.Benefits
