We have partnered with an event center in Cedar Park, TX and are needing to hire Shift Leads to join the event conversion team! Conversion crew members are responsible for the set-up and tear-down of sport, concert, and private events such as dinners, graduations, corporate events, etc. Leads are responsible for ensuring that event staff are appropriately designated duties, conversion schedule is maintained, and that event schematics and designs are adhered to. Given that this is an events based schedule, the hours and days vary month to month. The event schedule is announced in advance but given the nature of public events, changes to this schedule are always a possibility. These roles offer an hourly rate of $20/hr and a full benefits package (details below).
Individuals will be responsible for:
Set-up and tear-down of event related equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, booths, portable stages, basketball flooring and support equipment.Carry out routine maintenance related to general clean up, decorator set-up/rehearsal, event move out.Supervises conversion staff and assists with the conversion process in order to lead the set-up and tear-down of the facility according to the requests of each event.Coordinates with the Conversion Supervisor and Conversion Assistant in order to assist in the education, training, and enforcement of staff policies and procedures.Reviews, documents and maintains records of conversion activities in order to notify the Conversion Supervisor of any personnel issues and recommended repairs, maintenance items, and/or special projects.Maintains and manages inventory and proper storage of conversion equipment, tools, and supplies and works closely with maintenance to ensure all equipment is accounted for and in good working condition.Work Experience
Qualified candidates for this role are individuals who meet the following:
Stand, stoop, kneel and bend for extended periods of time.Able to lift upwards of 50lbs individually.Possess a working knowledge of power tools (Drills, Drivers, etc.) and hand tools (wrenches, hammers, etc.).Have flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays and understand the flexibility needed for an events based schedule.Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must.Experience and working knowledge of operating a sit-down forklift.Benefits
