How You’ll Support Our Mission
As an Event Manager at ESO, you will bring your experience and knowledge in running events like trade shows, user groups, and larger corporate events to help us create a unified, positive attendee experience and improve visibility of performance post event. ESO is involved in many events due to the industries we serve (sponsored, owned, and everything in between), and the ability to drive business impact is significant; you will be a kay player in our mission to improve community health and safety through the power of data. This position will collaborate closely and strategically with leaders across the entire organization as well as the broader marketing team. This role reports to the Director of Events which rolls into the ESO Marketing team.
What You’ll Be Doing - The Day to Day
Work closely with the Director of Events to develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistics, to ensure all details are organized and executed effectively to maximize performance. Partner with the sales team and broader marketing team to bring those event plans to life, ensuring a positive brand experience with our customers, prospects, and ESOers. This includes all pre, during and post event communications to increase engagement at events that results in quality leads and sales pipeline, progression of existing pipeline, facetime with existing customers, and added bookings/revenue associated to the events. Source and manage event and swag related vendors such as caterers, decorators, entertainers, and audiovisual technicians, overseeing contract reviews, payments, and performance. Coordinate event logistics, including setup, teardown, transportation, and staffing, to ensure smooth operations on event days. Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial targets while still providing a positive experience for attendees. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and managing expectations throughout the event planning process. Collaborate with Segment Marketing Managers on demand generation strategy for events to deliver on short-term and long-term goals. Execute and scale event campaigns to meet key KPIs ranging from registrations, attendance, and post-event outcomes like pipeline and revenue. Provide feedback on our marketing automation and lead nurturing strategies for your event programs to ensure we can clearly measure results and that no leads are left behind. Create repeatable, scalable processes - playbooks- aligned to demand generation marketing motions in partnership with marketing, sales, MDRs, and SDRs.Who You Are - The Essentials
Enjoy working in a mission driven organization where customers and the communities we serve are at the heart of what we do. 3+ years of events and/or field marketing experience or equivalent Proven track record in building and managing tradeshows, corporate events (e.g. customer conferences, sales and marketing kickoffs, etc), and smaller regional events like user groups. You are customer obsessed, data-driven and technology adept Ability to prioritize and efficiently communicate goals and results to diverse audiences Strong project management and cross-collaboration skills to drive varied teams to consensus around strategies and plansWho You Are - the desirables (it's a plus if you have them)
Experience in the Health Tech industry: EMS, Fire, Hospital, or the Public Sector Savvy analytic mindset with a passion for digging deeper and summarizing insights Has experience using Salesforce and marketing automation software (ideally Marketo) Comfortable in a growth business environment and thrives in implementing processes Strong leadership qualities with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get it done Familiarity and experience with technology like Cvent, Salesforce, Marketo, Microsoft Office, and similar tools.
