This position is responsible for facilitating the conversion of campus event spaces and assisting in the conversion of strategic venues for the Office of Event Services. This position is also responsible for providing or assisting with support functions of Event Services in campus event spaces and within our strategic venues as needed. This position assists Event Operations leadership with daily operations within the Office of Event Services to ensure the successful execution of events on campus.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Direct and facilitate the set-up, support, and tear-down of equipment, and securing of campus event spaces based on event scheduling software and/or as assigned by department leadership. Assist all set-up, technical support, and tear-down functions of event services' strategic venues involving University facilities and equipment based on scheduling software and/or as assigned by department leadership.Serve as the on-site event contact for event related services and respond to client requests as needed.Oversee student and vendor labor crews in assisting with room conversions / set-ups. Assist in the training of said crews.Assist with maintaining department inventory and facilitating general upkeep of storage and event spaces and report maintenance requests for damages and repairs as needed.The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
