Overview Assist Event Manager with the execution and coordination of events that will benefit Loon Mountain by adding value for guests. Loon is a customer-focused organization, so a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. Responsibilities SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision of event operations by coordinating with the Events Manager, Events Workers, clients, vendors, and other Loon Mountain departments involved. This person must be adaptable, a clear communicator, and excels at efficient problem solving. The supervision includes and is not limited to: Pre-event preparation and organization During event operations Post-event breakdown GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides service to our customers (internal and external) by following Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with guests. Respond to guests and employees in a courteous, efficient manner. Inventory equipment, promotional items, other items related to event production. Support with set-up and breakdown of each event site as needed. Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs. Assist with registration and the organization of enrolling participants. Must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level or above Setting up event arenas (as dictated by the Events Manager) with fencing and/or other materials. Give excellent guest service and ability to inform event details to the general public. Assist Event Manager with the development and production events. Communicate with Mountain Operations, Ski Patrol, and other resort staff in order to help execute event. Control event arena entrances and/or exits. Organize event registration Release of Liability forms. RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY: Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all times. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others. Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort policies. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
