Event Technical Operations Coordinator (Part-time)

This position coordinates event technical operation details, and facilitates the set-up/execution/tear-down of all campus events scheduled through the Office of Event Services. This position assists department leadership in administrative tasks necessary to execute campus events including scheduling of staff and maintaining/tracking event space equipment including installed audio/visual/lighting systems and portable technical equipment. This position is responsible for supporting daily operations within the Office of Event Services to ensure the successful execution of events on campus.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

Coordinate and assist with proactive planning as it relates to executing campus events for the Office of Strategic Venues and Event Services through event advancing, inventory availability, event need recommendations, and other event preparation.Supervise and facilitate the conversion of event spaces with oversight of full-time and part-time staff in the Curb Event Center, Fisher Center Ballrooms, and University spaces. Act as lead back of house contact for assigned events to support Manager on Duty in operational and technical support. Assist Event Technical Operations leadership with management of technical staffing needs by managing the training, scheduling, deployment, and monitoring of part time staff, FWS staff, and third-party labor vendors. Assist Technical Operations leadership with verification of third-party vendor invoices as needed.Assist Event Technical Operations leadership in all maintenance functions and projects as it applies to the Office of Event Services technical equipment. Maintain equipment and asset inventory, and recommend technical equipment improvements to Technical Operations leadership.Support event management team in advancing events and coordinate event needs from an technical or operations role. The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.  They are not an exhaustive list of the duties that may be assigned to job incumbents.
