The Events and Marketing Coordinator drives community engagement and brand awareness through strategic marketing initiatives and event planning. This role is responsible for creating and implementing marketing campaigns, managing social media presence, and coordinating community outreach events that promote water safety awareness and British Swim School programs.
This is a part time position.
Your Typical Responsibilities:
Plan and execute quarterly survival weeks and community events Manage social media content and engagement across all platforms Create and distribute marketing materials Build and maintain relationships with community partners Coordinate open houses and water safety presentations Track marketing metrics and event success Manage marketing budget and vendor relationships Support lead generation and customer acquisition initiatives Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels Educate and promote services to our customers. Develop and adhere to the annual budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Have a responsible and professional demeanor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong project management and organizational abilities Proficient in social media platforms and marketing tools Experience in event planning and coordination Creative problem-solving skills 1+ years of marketing or events experience
Preferred Qualifications:
a. bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
b. Experience with graphic design software
c. Photography and video editing skills
d. Prior experience in the aquatics or children's activities industry
e. Knowledge of water safety and swim instruction programs
