Coordinate logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support, and pre- and post-event evaluations. **Position Summary** **:** CDDRL is seeking a skilled events professional to join our team! The Events & Communications Coordinator will assist in the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events. Reporting to the CDDRL Communications Manager, this 50% FTE, benefits eligible position will provide support for the administration of ongoing and frequent program events—involving international dignitaries, visiting scholars, and public and government officials—dinners, weekly seminars, lectures, conferences, and receptions. Successful candidates will have excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask; time management skills and the ability to prioritize a large volume of tasks. They are self-motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn new technology. Strong interpersonal skills will be of value including experience building and maintaining relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organizations. This position will be based on Stanford’s main campus and will be hybrid (at least 3 days per week), subject to operational need. Employees must be available to come into the office for special events outside of their regular hybrid schedule. **Important** : Part-time employees working between 50 and 74 percent time (FTE) are eligible for Stanford benefits. The position will be based on-site at the Stanford campus and may be considered for a hybrid work schedule (partially onsite and offsite), subject to operational need. For consideration, please submit a cover letter and resume. **CORE DUTIES** **:** + Support the design, planning, implementation, and coordination of Stanford events. + Contribute to vendor and site selection, arrangements, and scheduling. Coordinate event registration and confirmations. + Process purchase requisitions and invoices; track event expenses. + Provide general administrative assistance for department; handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence relating to event(s). + Liaise with donors, alumni, senior staff, faculty, trustees, and other staff. + Coordinate facility, exhibit set-up, equipment, and catering requirements.
