Events Coordinator
Title: Events Coordinator Location(s): Various   Position Summary:   Everstream is looking for a driven and ambitious Events Coordinator that can effectively manage the planning and execution of engaging events across various sales channels within the organization.   Reporting to our Manager of Marketing & Sales Enablement, this role will be instrumental in supporting Everstream's B2B sales organization. Our marketing team is committed to providing the resources and enablement needed to drive sales success.   Everstream has experienced great growth in recent years, investing more than $1B in expanding its business-only fiber footprint – now nearly 27,000 route miles of fiber spanning 9 states in the Midwest. The marketing organization has transformed in that time as well and is now looking to best-leverage its many tools and resources, in partnership with our sales organization, to continue to grow revenue.   If you’re an energetic marketer with experience in event coordination who thrives on building relationships and executing activities that build awareness and generate demand, this is the role for you.   What you’ll be doing: As Events Coordinator, you will manage and coordinate Everstream’s presence at national and regional trade shows and events. This includes proactively searching for events aligned with Everstream’s goals – both local to our markets as well as on a national scale. You’ll meet with sales leaders and their teams to strategize on potential event ideas and show execution. You’ll work with vendors to get a prospectus and proposal for events, make sure our team is registered, occasionally travel to shows to facilitate booth set up, and ensure the sales team has everything they need to effectively meet with current customers and prospects. You will be the liaison between marketing and sales when it comes to the execution of events, from A to Z.     We will also rely on you to cultivate relationships with our sales channel (Direct, Indirect, Inside, Wholesale / Wireless) leaders & local sales teams in each of our key markets to understand what local needs and opportunities are present, then work in collaboration with the Manager of Marketing & Sales Enablement to develop and execute creative solutions that will move the needle for our teams.   Your key responsibilities will include: Event management – executing high-touch, intimate, soft-selling events (ie: IT forums, technology conferences, webinars, etc.) to get our sales team connected with and in front of technical buyers to discuss digital transformation, cloud and connectivity strategies and challenges. Manage show logistics and hipping of collateral, handout items, banners, tablecloths, etc. Track all expenses related to events by market and channel Channel marketing – leverage marketing materials to keep Everstream top-of-mind with channel partners; be proactive in working in partnership with Technology Solutions Distributors (TSDs, master agents) to execute events that engage partners and their customers in co-sales activities. Sales enablement – assist the Manager of Marketing & Sales Enablement with campaigns intended to enable our sales teams to get their foot in the door with prospective buyers. Work with our marketing vendor to execute on activities related to campaigns, such as having collateral printed and distributed, tracking activity, etc. Competitive Intelligence/Research – Build and maintain an ongoing database of competitive positioning information. Keep record of competitor offers and promotions, strengths & weaknesses, ideas on how sales reps can compete when pursuing prospective business To succeed in this role, you must be execution-focused with both an analytical and solution-oriented mindset. You must also carefully balance multiple priorities with your desire to not just execute, but to execute the right activities at the right time to deliver optimal results.   Requirements: Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business Administration, or related field 0-2 years’ marketing experience (recent graduates are welcome to apply) Prior experience in event planning and management Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortability with public speaking and networking Strong project management skills Problem-solving skills Willingness to travel up to 25-50% to other Everstream markets & events/trade shows   Preferred Qualifications:   Prior experience in marketing support and/or coordination role Prior experience in technology industry – telecom experience is a plus Experience with Customer Relationship Management software, such as Salesforce & Pardot Experience in sales operations or marketing operations role, providing direct support to salespeople Prior experience in technology industry – telecom experience is a plus     Benefits:  Everstream Solutions LLC offers competitive compensation as well as a generous employee benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance policies.
