Events Coordinator
Description Robert Half is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to hire an enthusiastic and organized Events Coordinator. This role is ideal for a creative professional who thrives on planning, executing, and managing events that align with the organization’s goals and values. Key Responsibilities: + Plan, coordinate, and execute events, including fundraising galas, community outreach programs, donor appreciation events, and workshops. + Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop event concepts, timelines, and budgets. + Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, vendor contracts, catering, permits, and audio/visual needs. + Develop and maintain a detailed event schedule, ensuring all elements are executed smoothly and on time. + Manage event registration, ticket sales, sponsorships, and attendee communications. + Create promotional materials and manage social media campaigns to maximize event attendance and engagement. + Track and report on event metrics, including attendance, fundraising totals, and participant feedback. + Serve as the primary point of contact during events, resolving any issues that arise and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. + Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners to support future events. + Maintain detailed records of all events for future reference and improvement. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + 2+ years of experience planning and coordinating events, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. + Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events and priorities simultaneously. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences, including donors, volunteers, and community members. + Proficiency in event management software and tools (e.g., Eventbrite, Salesforce, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite. + Creativity and problem-solving skills to manage unexpected challenges during events. + Experience with fundraising and donor relations is a plus.
