Events/Exhibitions Sales Rep I
As a Delegate Sale Executive, you are responsible for ensuring a good attendance rate for all relevant ICIS training courses throughout the year. Directly calling attendees, you are in-charge of an end-to-end cycle of promoting ICIS training courses and closing a ticket, ensuring that payment is made. You will also be expected to handle queries on registration, payments and other ticket related questions that may come through from potential or registered delegates. The role will be versatile and adaptable to varying course types and topics. You will be calling across a number of commodities including base oils, recycled plastics and polyolefins. Vital outputs for this role are meeting daily lead targets, regularly converting leads to registration, researching leads and filling data gaps, as well as submitting accurate insight reports to stakeholders. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue targets whilst ensuring an excellent customer experience through their interaction with you and our team. The successful candidate will be a proactive salesperson who will manage their own campaigns, identify opportunities for improvement within our approach to delegates and work in collaboration with your peers. You will be given the tools and autonomy to do your job, and we will help support you in developing your knowledge of the markets we serve and our fantastic training courses. Key Responsibilities: + To sell delegate places across training courses in the ICIS portfolio to deliver revenue targets + Oversee and take ownership of the delegate sales process, including building and managing pipelines and reporting on all activities + To maintain a clean and updated prospect and customer database + Capture valuable insights from leads and customers, understanding their businesses and needs, and sharing this back into our team + Update and verify lead information on each call + Build new leads and strengthen connections/network by generating new interests from existing or new companies – acquire new e-mail addresses and gather new subscribers to various e-mails. + Effective management of CRM Campaigns across multiple events. + Accurately report progress through weekly sales reports and forecast revenue projections allowing the Marketing Director to budget accordingly. + Achieve and surpass individual revenue targets across the group + To liaise effectively with all internal departments as required (marketing, registrations, operations) Key Skills + Deliver sales through a combination of excellent communication, customer service and strong negotiation skills + Able to quickly gain knowledge of new markets and target audiences + Customer-centric, able to develop and maintain relationships with customers + A clear and confident communicator with good questioning and needs analysis skills, driven by curiosity + Pre-empts problems, identifies opportunities and creates workable solutions + Able to work across multiple sales campaigns, prioritize effectively and to work towards key target milestones + High levels of professionalism with strong attention to detail + Able to work independently, a quick thinker, and detail-oriented Qualifications: + Proven and successful track record in a relevant sales environment, preferably in the B2B conference or training industry + Experience in cold calling – handling leads + Advanced level / Proficiency English + Strong team player and the ability to work under pressure · Must be in current role for 1 year · Must not have received any Disciplinary Action within the past 12 months · Must not have any Attendance and Punctuality issues in the past 12 month · Must have a Successful or above rating in the last Enabling Performance cycle LexisNexis, a division of RELX, is an equal opportunity employer: qualified applicants are considered for and treated during employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship status, disability status, protected veteran status, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
