AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities
This role will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing the content and audience components of strategic events in Australia and New Zealand for our most strategic first- and third-party events. In particular, you will:

• Plan, develop, and execute audience strategies and content plans which reflects the event theme(s) and attract priority audience groups
• Map multi-persona customer journeys across all communications and touchpoints
• Guide messaging and asset creation for multi-channel demand generation tactics (organic social, paid media, email) to attract high value customers, priority industries, and net-new audiences
• Lead keynote and breakout session creation and execution including; AWS and Customer speakers, management, content development and creative show elements
• Post event reporting and analysis of event activities including ROI, channel performance and audience trends
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across all regional and global stakeholders
• Support the wider ANZ Marketing team with executional best practice and self-serve resources for long-tail events

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) is seeking an experienced B2B marketing professional with specialist skills in audience mapping, developing messaging matrices, and creating assets to engage business and technical personas with a diverse set of motivators, priorities, and challenges. This individual will also be experienced in creating and executing multi-faceted content plans for event agendas, crafted to suit campaign messaging and have broad appeal. This is an opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast-growing business. As Event Marketing Manager – Content & Audience Strategy, you will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across key business units to deliver bar raising experiences that educate and inspire AWS customers and attract new audiences.

Reporting into the Head of Events ANZ, you will work closely with Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) Brand Team, Global Content and Customer Reference teams, and key local stakeholders to build out a diverse agenda of sessions to serve a wide variety of customer profiles at strategic events. The role has a dual function, encompassing Content and Audience strategy. You will own messaging, audience segmentation and positioning for major events. You will also lead the content strategy plan across the event, and will lead the development of critical event content including keynotes and breakouts. You will be responsible for raising the bar on Customer Satisfaction Scores (CSATs) by delivering relevant and engaging content that inspired the market.
