Woodward Tahoe is seeking a skilled, passionate, and self-driven Events & Partnerships Specialist to join our mission of empowering and inspiring the next generation of action sports. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Boreal Ridge Corporation's family of brands' events and communications, including Woodward Tahoe, Boreal Mountain, and Soda Springs.
The Events & Partnerships Specialist will be an essential member of BRC’s Marketing team, reporting to the Marketing Director. He or she must possess a working knowledge of existing assets and be able to provide them to internal or external partners promptly. The successful applicant will enthusiastically promote events and communications to attain sales goals for all related revenue areas and products as assigned. This position will also be responsible for event planning, including staffing and execution, and sponsor communications.
Located at Woodward Tahoe, this is a 10-month position with a robust benefits package including paid time off, matching 401k, Health Benefits, Annual Bonus Incentive Program, and more.
The position has a proposed hourly rate of $25.00 actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Woodward Tahoe Marketing Director & POWDR Partnerships to define goals for events and communications strategy and implement the strategic vision. Collaborate with external partners to ensure seamless events and functionality of communications. Continuously stay up-to-date on regional marketing trends and best practices to enhance personal skills and better assist the team.
Events:
Own the events calendar to plan, coordinate, staff and execute. Help maintain a portable event display “booth” including a current inventory of all its components (i.e. collateral, POP, displays, etc.)Negotiate and coordinate site and advertising fees for outreach outlets and events. Coordinate partnership activation with guidance from the Partnerships Team and provide recaps in a timely manner. Data collection during guest engagement events.Works closely with internal teams to ensure events, activations, and booked business is fulfilled seamlessly. Accurately execute contracts and distribute for approval.Communications:
Manage and distribute the weekly memo to all internal departments.Lead internal communications for the events plan and schedule.Manage our internal and external SMS text platform to guests and staff.Assistance with incoming questions via social media and other channels.General Marketing / Other:
Operate the Woodward Booth during events and live shows. Staff on and off-site events to promote Woodward.Be a source of creative assistance to the entire marketing team.Support brand-building and go-to-the-market objectives.Prioritize multiple projects for multiple business purposes while adhering to strict deadlines.Support other Boreal Mountain Resort, Woodward Tahoe & Soda Springs operations as needed.Able to build a travel and entertainment (T&E) spend, and offsite event plan based on a pre-existing budget. Track current spend status, as well as forecast future spend throughout the fiscal year. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills as needed.Other duties as assigned.Specific Job Skills:
Strong copywriting ability with a bonus understanding of writing with a 'Brand Voice'.Experience working with a team to achieve a final goal.Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals.Passionate about creating industry-leading work.Ability to work on multiple projects with little or no oversight and produce quality work under tight deadlines.Ability to establish excellent, working relationships internally and externally.Self-motivated with a drive to solve problems independently.Ability to work as a member of a team and understand the dynamic nature of a team environment.Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.Bachelors/Graduate degree in related field or two to three years of related experience.Experience working with a client/customer/business to achieve an end product that all parties are happy with.Commitment to guest and employee satisfaction.Education/Related Experience:
2+ years of experience in related field or four-year college degree preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals.Minimum education required:
