The Event Specialist is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, measurement, and reporting of customer facing events and webinars for the commercial team in the Americas region.
The ability to manage a high volume of events, independently planning and executing in person and virtual events is essential. A can-do attitude, the ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams and the desire to drive operational efficiency are critical for success in the position. Sourcing venues, creating registration sites using Cvent, food and beverage management, compliance reporting (Sunshine Act), and budgeting are essential.
Management of regional marketing inventory, including event kits for sales and instruments, housed at a local off-site warehouse. This includes overseeing the shipping/receiving process with the warehouse, coordinating with the team to manage orders and inventory, maintaining the items, and being on-site at the warehouse at least one day a week.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with marketing and sales counterparts to plan and execute all elements of virtual and in-person customer facing eventsLead cross-functional teams in the execution of external facing meetings and eventsEstablish event budgets, reconcile final charges, and report on spend including Transfers of Value (TOV) for Health Care ProvidersCreate event registration sites and email communications using CventManage F&B and audio visual as requiredSpeaker management including contracting, FMV calculations, honoraria processing, and communication Ensure event compliance with all corporate and government policiesManagement of inventory and shipping process at the Illumina warehouseListed responsibilities are an essential, but not an exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Preferred Requirements:

The estimated base salary range for the Events Specialist - AMR Marketing role based in the United States of America is: $67,000 - $100,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
