As a Data Administrator, you’re part of a team with responsibility for our databases and data storage infrastructure that our EverWell Solutions (Timely and SalonBiz)  applications, users, and staff rely on.  This role involves addressing data inconsistencies, supporting stakeholders, and automating repetitive tasks, with a primary focus on SalonBiz products. You’ll be passionate about working in the data space, pay attention to details, and have a strong interest in delivering solid and thoughtful automation solutions. 

This is a 1-year fixed term, full time position.    

What you’ll do.

Update customer data as required for customer tickets for recurring tasks like new users, inventory updates, price changes and database management. 

Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, such as missing/duplicate records, or inconsistencies across systems.  

Identify repetitive or time-consuming data support tasks suitable for automation. 

Implement scripts or workflows to streamline data validation, cleansing, maintenance and reporting processes (e.g., using Python, SQL, and/or Bash Script). 

Monitor automated processes to ensure reliability and performance, updating them as needed. 

Act as a point of contact for data-related requests, providing assistance with data retrieval, validation, and issue resolution. 

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver timely solutions. 

Communicate resolutions, risks, and potential impacts of data fixes to relevant stakeholders. 

Work with the data team and product teams to constantly improve data operational engineering activities. 

Support cross-functional projects involving data validation, migration, or integration. 

Assist team members in adopting automated tools or scripts by providing training or documentation. 

What you’ll bring.

Ability to operate autonomously.  

Proficiency in SQL for data queries and troubleshooting. 

Basic programming skills in Python, or a similar language for automation. 

Familiarity with database systems such as Oracle or MS SQL Server. 

Experience with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) for data analysis and validation. 

Experience in various operating systems (preferably Linux), cloud platforms and DevOps technologies. 

Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve data issues effectively. 

Ability to document technical processes and automation tools.  

Attention to detail when troubleshooting and validating data. 

Ability to assess processes and propose automation solutions. 

Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential data issues. 

Identify root causes and go beyond treating symptoms; employ grit and persistence in solving difficult problems.
