Overview The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) at University of Florida Health (UF Health) is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the integration and alignment of clinical services, quality of care, patient safety, and operational efficiency across the health system. The CCO will act as a bridge between physicians, faculty and other care providers and the executive leadership team, ensuring that clinical excellence and operational strategies are aligned with the overall goals of UF Health. This position will play a key role in advancing the institution's commitment to care excellence. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) required; advanced degrees in healthcare administration, business (MBA), or public health (MPH) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership or executive role within a large, complex academic health system or integrated healthcare delivery system. Proven experience in leading clinical transformation, improving quality outcomes, and aligning physicians with organizational goals. Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to inspire and engage physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative staff. Expertise in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical operations. Ability to navigate complex academic and healthcare environments and promote collaboration between clinical and administrative teams. Ability to identify and implement opportunities for improved financial performance through innovative care models, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement. License Requirement: Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida or eligibility upon employment.
