Job Description

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate work habits, performance, and attendance of staff. Document and make recommendations regarding employees' performance, retention, and/or promotion. Take corrective action as indicated by hospital policies and appropriate labor agreements.Maintain required records, gather statistics, and prepare reports as required.Monitor workflows and effect changes to improve the quality and efficiency of services.Plan, schedule, and direct staff to assigned areas of the hospital and its satellite facilities. Monitor and track progress; provide feedback to staff.Tour hospital regularly, covering each assigned area to observe and inspect cleanliness of facilities and work in progress.Train staff in the techniques of cleaning and disinfecting facilities, use of chemical agents and equipment, collection and disposal of infectious materials, and general environmental maintenance particular to acute hospitals. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations. Act as a link between staff and upper management.Participate in the hiring process. Screen, interview, and provide recommendations for candidate selection.Perform daily Patient Satisfaction rounds to solicit same-day patient feedback and ensure service standards are met.Essential SkillsExperience in healthcare facilities supervisionStrong environmental service and customer service skillsProficiency in inspection, floor care, and floor maintenanceExperience with custodial and janitorial dutiesManagement and supervisory skillsHigh school diplomaAdditional Skills & QualificationsHealthcare experience preferredFloor care experience and previous night shift experienceUnion experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
Working onsite at healthcare facilities in both hospitals. The EVS team operates in a union environment; however, supervisors and managers are not unionized. Business formal attire is required. This position involves working the grave shift from Sunday to Thursday, 11 pm to 7:30 am, with potential coverage on swing shifts and a weekend rotation. Flexibility to come in an hour or two earlier to align with staff is also required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stanford, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $41.00/hr.
