Position Summary Full-Time Night Shift $15.25 - $20.42

Our EVS Tech I is responsible for maintaining hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Hours of Shift:
10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekends: Every other
FTE: 1.0

Execute tasks such as scrubbing, mopping, polishing, and using appropriate chemical mixtures. Interact professionally and courteously with patients, the general public, physicians, hospital personnel, and outside entities. Uphold Jacksonville Memorial Hospital’s behavioral standards. Collaborate effectively and positively with team members. Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers and management. Work independently with minimal supervision. Be flexible with work schedules, hours, and assignments. Adhere to regular attendance and punctuality policies. Perform other related duties as required or requested. Required Experience Experience: Previous experience in institutional and/or commercial housekeeping is preferred. Familiarity with waxing and stripping floors is also preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Working Conditions:

Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds is required. Physical demands include repetitive hand motions, walking, standing, and reaching above the head. Potential exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and body fluids. Occasional exposure to varying temperatures (heat and cold) and humidity, as well as biological hazards.
