Excavator Operator

A well-established excavation and construction company based in the Flathead Valley is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join its growing team. This position plays a key role in site development projects for high end residential work. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with excavation equipment and a solid understanding of grading, trenching, and site prep operations. Essential Functions and Duties: Operate excavators to perform tasks such as trenching, digging, grading, and backfilling Read and interpret site plans, utility markings, and grade stakes Work efficiently and safely around underground utilities and structures Load trucks with material and assist with on-site material management Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues Collaborate with foremen, laborers, and truck drivers to complete jobs on schedule Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols at all times
Qualifications: Proven experience operating excavators on construction or excavation sites Familiarity with various types of soil, terrain, and job site conditions Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Valid driver's license required OSHA or other safety training certifications are a plus
