Role Summary/Purpose

This position is focused on supporting the governance and risk management function for the GE Vernova enterprise as it relates to Exception Management.  This includes assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of governance and risk management exceptions to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure exception management process is followedProvide training and guidance to employees on exception management complianceReview and analyze compliance reports and data to identify trends and areas for improvementMaintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards and their impact on new and existing exceptionsPrepare reports for management on exception compliance for risk register, policy and controls

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a STEM related field3+ years’ experience in Information Technology governance and compliance3+ years’ experience in Cyber Security

Vernova segments/business experience is highly desiredExperience with regulatory bodies such as SOX and CMMCExperience writing and maintaining SOPs and training documentationComfortable leading decision making discussions that lead to consensus agreementIT cybersecurity and/or risk management certificationsStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolveAbility to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited directionChange oriented – actively defines process improvements, champions and drive change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
