Excess Flood Insurance Coordinator

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to coordinate the excess flood program and operations regarding policies, applications, and other related documents and works with agents to provide quotes and policies.

Essential duties include the following:

Ensures all necessary documents and premium obtained are verified for accuracy, prior to processing policy in the VMGA system.Process endorsements and cancellations as necessary.Communicate with insureds agents and brokers for any missing documentation needed to complete the file.Works internally with underwriters to resolve any discrepancies within documents/coverages.Obtains and provides internal Surplus Lines Dept with required state specific forms and meet tax filing deadlines.Processes refunds through workdayHandles of incoming and outgoing calls; to include processing of phone payments, taking applications and resolving any questions regarding policy.Handles of any incoming emails.Mails out policies as requested by insured and or agency/broker.Logging of premium in the payment tracker.Updates Sales Force leads/person client accounts to include adding all policy details/documents.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalency.At least two (2) years in administrative support, customer service, data entry, or other related experience.Insurance experience preferred.Must have a Property and Casualty license or obtain within ninety (90) days from date of employment.Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, research capabilities, and follow-up skills.Possess superior time management skills.Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and excel in critical thinking.Working knowledge of personal computers to include MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.Type 35 WPM accurately.Familiar with most general office machines.Able to multi-task.Able to work under sometimes stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.Able to perform urgent request with possible short deadlines.Able to sit for long periods of time analyzing loan applications, credit reports, and other related documents.Able to lift/push/pull/stoop/kneel 10 – 20 lbs. of files or other documents.
