Exclusive Benefits Coordination Analyst
Job Description Coordination of Benefits is the process insurance companies use to determine how to cover your medical expenses when youre covered by more than one health insurance plan. This process clarifies who pays what by determining which plan is the primary payer and which is secondary. As a Recovery Resolution Analyst within our Coordination of Benefits team, you will support the growth of our markets, membership, and COB opportunity within a production environment. This team supports Post Pay and Prepay savings via hospice and other related COB data source processes. There are currently about 50 team members. You will be responsible for completing COB investigations per the documented process as well as: - Understand and navigate National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and Medicare order of benefits rules - Perform online Eligibility verifications - Outbound phone calls to Other Insurance Carriers, providers, and/or members 75% of the time after the first 3 months - Update Core operating system (Facets) - Update and track results via Excel spreadsheets - Adhere to a 3.5-6 volume/hour (vph) metric This position will have a 1-week training program. The Business Analystss and Senior Representatives will be guiding them through the formal process. The training sessions are typically 9-2:30 EST, with work to do prior to and after each session.
