Job Description This position reviews medical coding on professional and facility claims to ensure it is accurate according to CMS guidelines as well as other coding requirements as set by the analytic/department. There are currently 3 team members. The team members have been with the organization for over 10 years. They all have either professional or facility coding review backgrounds. The team works very well together and has collaboration calls to help with each other's continued growth and knowledge. This will be reviewing a mix of 70% professional and 30% facility claims. Skills and Requirements - Experience working in a remote environment - Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 CST (some flexibility on start and end time after a period of time, but will need to work 8 hours/day Monday-Friday) - 3+ years of experience with CPC, HCPCS or Rev coding, either in a clinical setting or in a health insurance review capacity. Ability to stay focused and task oriented in completing requests. Analytical, problem-solving skills.
