Executive, Compliance & Operational Risk Testing

Be part of what truly makes us special and impactful. **The Opportunity** The Enterprise Compliance and Operational Risk Testing Executive is responsible for the ongoing preparation, testing and monitoring of compliance with government regulations and regulatory agencies for multiple companies across the organization. This position will direct and oversee multiple testing groups in the evaluation of internal operations, controls, risk assessments and documentation as related to regulatory compliance and recommends appropriate changes. This role will require collaboration and partnership with other Compliance & Operational Risk Programs across the organization, various control partners, as well as senior leadership. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be **in the office 4 days per week.** This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. **What you’ll do:** + Oversees the development of an annual risk-based testing plan to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements. + Partners with senior business leaders across the enterprise to lead and address regulatory compliance gaps and/or operational opportunities. Provides reporting data on compliance testing to appropriate governance committees and represents USAA with regulatory agencies such as OCC and Federal Reserve as needed. + Manages oversight of monitoring activities conducted by multiple Compliance and Operational Risk Programs across the organization. + Maintains a strong working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations applicable to multiple companies across the organization. Represents USAA in regulatory examinations. + Demonstrates executive level thought leadership, strategy development, and operational planning. Leads broad functional projects. + Manages teams that lead the timely, accurate design and execution of testing to evaluate compliance with applicable federal and state requirements of multiple companies across the organization. Responsible for performance management and professional development activities. **What you have:** + Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree. + 10 or more years of progressive compliance-related experience developing, implementing, and operationalizing Compliance Testing and Monitoring programs. + 6 or more years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams. + Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals. + Executive-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends. **What sets you apart:** + US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner. + Strong record of success in leading technology testing in first, second or third line of defense. + Deep experience leading technology testing in a large bank. + One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CDPSE, CISM, CIP. + Technology risk testing experience in Data Protection, Privacy, Enterprise Security, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and/or AI Transformation. + Experience working with the OCC and/or FRB. **What we offer:** The salary range for this position is: $169,880.00-305,780.00. **Compensation:** USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
