Executive – CIO, Propulsion & Additive Technologies (PAT) & Unison Industries
**Job Description Summary** Propulsion & Additive Technologies (PAT) is a one of three divisions of GE Aerospace, consisting of 4 independent P&L’s with billions of revenue. These 4 P&L’s (1. Avio Aero, 2. Colibrium Additive, 3. Dowty Propellors, and 4. Unison Industries) go-to-market as independent business and brands within the GE Aerospace portfolio. The CIO for PAT will act as the front-line CIO for Unison Industries, in addition to leading the CIO’s of the other 3 P&L’s within the PAT portfolio. This CIO will be a key member of the leadership teams within the PAT division, the Unison Industries P&L, and the Digital Technology (DT) function across the GE Aerospace business, and will be expected to lead & influence across organizations, geographies and organizations in order to drive value to the PAT business. This role will report directly to the CIO, GE Aerospace and dotted line to the CEO of our PAT business. *Other locations in US considered.* **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** + Act as a member of the PAT Executive leadership team and the Unison Industries leadership team, providing forward-looking thought leadership on business strategy, technology, data & risk management + Delivery technology, data & security solutions in support of new product introductions across multiple business segments, and ensuring the ability of P&AT to meet government customer requirements across multiple jurisdictions + Lead a global team of 120 employees and a $50MM + Partner and influence with shared service organizations across the digital technology function to ensure that the right solutions, from a capability and cost/efficiency standpoint, are available and deployed in support of the PAT business + As the CIO of Unison Industries, define, resource and execute the digital strategy for a growing global P&L + Act as a FLIGHT DECK practitioner and coach the P&AT leadership team, and the P&AT DT organization, on FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and how they apply to the safe & efficient deployment of technology & data solutions + Coach & develop CIO’s to act as a process, data, and technology thought leader within global Aerospace & Defense P&L’s + Operate with a forward-looking growth mindset. Ensure safe & secure operations for today, but act as a thought leader to ensure the appropriate technology & data capabilities are implemented for P&AT to be a market leader & customer delighter tomorrow and into the future + Lead the entire DT team to develop and execute on the digital strategy across all products by forming a strong cross-functional partnerships to identify and prioritize DT needs to deliver business outcomes. + Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills to ensure alignment between various stakeholders. + Foster a lean, problem-solving culture that leverages data and visual management to drive continuous improvement and quantify outcomes. + Own all budget and financial forecasting activities for the category, ensuring strong controllership and accountability. + Ensure cyber security, obsolescence, and other risks are proactively managed across entire product portfolio. + Stay informed of industry and technology trends that may inform work. + Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity. + Provide people leadership, including recruiting, resource allocation, insourcing, and performance development + Maintain specialized knowledge within the team through performance management, talent development, and succession planning. + Manage vendor relationships and contracting with external service providers + Foster a culture of compliance within DT function and across the business **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 12 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 15 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 17 years of professional experience + Minimum 9 years of professional experience in a variety of IT functional and leadership roles + Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a People Leader + Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience + Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
