Executive and Advocacy Specialist Vestal, NY (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=4733+Vestal+Parkway+East+Vestal+NY+USA+13850) Apply Job Type Full-time Description Executive and Advocacy Specialist Full-Time, Monday - Friday Salary: $50000 - $60,000 Annually The Executive and Advocacy Specialist is responsible for coordination of office operations for the ACHIEVE Executive Offices. The Executive and Advocacy Specialist will support Board and Administrative operations, while helping to guide internal and external education and advocacy initiatives. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: I. JOB KNOWLEDGE + Complete all requested and normal clerical responsibilities for the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and the Agency’s Board of Directors. + Compile information and complete mailings on behalf of the programs as assigned. + Ensure office equipment is in good working order. + Maintain and update administrative manuals for policies, procedures, state regulations, and etc. + Attend requested meetings, events, and Board of Director Meetings; prepare/transmit required or requested documents for such meetings/events. + Assist in agency related fundraising events and other department activities and projects as directed. + Maintain confidentiality of agency business, participant, and staff information as dictated by professional ethics and judgment. + Perform required duties in a productive and safe manner. + Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO/COO. Requirements SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: · Possess good interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities and effective time management/organizational skills. · Able to work scheduled hours that may include overtime, weekend and/or holiday timeframes and maintain an acceptable work attendance as defined in the agency’s employee policy manual. · Be computer literate with knowledge in agency operating systems and applicable software required for department needs. · Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of all office machinery, including computer, copier, fax machine. · Must be highly organized, professional, and able to maintain high degree of confidentiality. · Demonstrate sound judgment in normal work and emergency situations. · Must physically be able to perform required certifications and lift 25 pounds. · Possess a valid driver’s license record that meets the agency’s insurance carrier guidelines QUALIFICATIONS: Associated Degree in Secretarial Sciences, Office Management, with 3 – 5 years experience working in capacity of assistant to administration -Or- A combination of education and experience that in the opinion of the reviewing agency, exceeds the above standards of the program
