The Executive Assistant supports the VP of AWS Security Services. This is an experienced role that requires high judgement, superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple critical requests across global teams, while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and most importantly, grace under pressure. This role will act as a seamless extension of the supported VP, working closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the organization. This position requires superior attention to detail, with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility and professional composure. The individual in this role must understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs and drive improvements to build capacity for the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the company is critical. This position is entrusted to a wide range of unsupervised decisions affecting the prioritization, importance, and speed of the business. This role works successfully in a team environment and easily builds effective working relationships inside and outside the team.
Key job responsibilities
· Manage complex calendar and scheduling requirements for both internal and external stakeholders
· High judgment and decision making in an ambiguous environment
· Planning domestic and international travel
· Manage expense report coordination and submission
· Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, global team meetings, off-sites, and team social events)
· Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on out standing items · Act as a liaison for direct reports
· Ensures they demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the Amazon Leadership Principles in their daily work ethics, indexing highly on more than a few as they build their brand (manner reflective of a leader)
· Act as team lead of the teams Executive Assistants
· High judgment and decision making in an ambiguous environment
· Work closely with the leadership team, business partners, and other Executive Assistants to provide seamless support to the organization · Document writing, editing, and readiness
· Have fun and help others do the same.
A day in the life
As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical activities including complex calendar management, tracking key deliverables, coordinating travel and expenses, and organizing team activities and events (such as global team meetings and employee engagement activities). Other responsibilities include, coordinating meeting agendas, and ad hoc projects. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important. Working in a highly ambiguous environment, you will demonstrate initiative, complete tasks quickly, and proactively take action without having to know the total picture.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience
- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
- Experience leading process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of senior level leadership support experience
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience with end-to-end project management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
