Coordination of scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, communications and general administrative functions for the General Manager and Senior Management team at all operating sites.
PurposeProvide high level confidential and general administrative support to the General Manager and the Senior Management team.
Essential Duties Prepare draft correspondence, articles, confidential reports, corporate correspondence and presentations for the General Manager and Senior Management team. Record and prepare minutes for the Strategy meetings, Union/Management meetings and other meetings as required.Track, maintain and report Leading Indicator Matrix report.Build a communication strategy with the management team using Yammer as the main form of communication for salaried employees.Prepare communications for all employees utilizing available communications mediums such as on site screens, bulletin boards, Yammer, Conveyor, Prospector, Outlook and newsletters.Serve as a liaison for the General Manager, Senior Management team, Regional and Corporate offices and external stakeholders to ensure proper communications and information is available and accessible.Manage Senior Management team and Boardroom calendars, meetings and appointments.Lead and/or support the communication process on site projects such as site signage and 5S housekeeping. Coordinate all site tours with the respective department.Leads by example and ensures the teams are living the Newmont values.Ensures compliance of company policies and procedures.Works with and interacts well with other groups, such as Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, H&S, Human Resources, External Relations and Technical Services.The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.Training & Experience Post-secondary education in Office Administration or Communications.Valid \"G\" driver's license3-5 years of proven experience as an Administration Assistant or in Communications.Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and various other audio/visual programs.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, self-motivation and problem solving skills with the ability of setting priorities.Ability to maintain confidentiality while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.Previous experience in the mining industry would be an asset.Working ConditionsThis is a temporary position with an expected duration of 18 months
Site based position in Timmins, ON on a 4x3 / 5x2 schedule
