The Opportunity
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time 1 FTE Hours of Work:0800-1600
Wages:$49,126.77-$68,244.74
Reporting to the Vice President/Chief Quality Officer and the Vice President/Chief People Officer, the executive assistant delivers a wide variety of high-level administrative support. As the executive administrative assistant, you will have proven ability to work independently, screen and prioritize communication, meet deadlines, and have the ability to make decisions by anticipating needs. This role requires coordination of confidential and sensitive internal and external communications, the management of complex events, development of position relationships with various internal and external stakeholders including residents, clients, family members, employees, external organization’s leaders, and government officials.
Educational and other Qualifications
Office Administration diploma or equivalentWork Experience
Five (5) years’ experience working as an Executive AssistantHealth, human resources and/or nonprofit sector administrative/secretarial function experienceProven experience working with a high degree of independenceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrates a high degree of proficiency working with sensitive and confidential informationKnowledge of provincial legislationExcellent working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office SuiteGeneral knowledge of office equipment related to the duties of the positionStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal effectively with conflict in a diplomatic and professional mannerHighly proficient with written and oral communicationAble to compile and coordinate data for a variety of complex reports, presentations and oral/written communicationsExhibits open and sincere approach to relating to people by demonstrating respect and compassion for everyone equallyExcellent active listening skillsOccasional travel when necessaryOccasional work after regular hours in order to meet the demands of the jobAble to multi-task in a constant high energy environment while responding to complex prioritiesCapable of balancing office tasks with people responsibilities equallyWho we are:
