About the Condé Nast Legal Team:


The Condé Nast Legal and Policy team is led by the General Counsel based in our NY Office and is comprised of colleagues in New York as well as our Legal teams based in our various markets around the world (UK,, Russia, China, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, UK, Mexico, India, Japan and Taiwan). We are also supported by a network of outside counsel where necessary and work closely with colleagues in Advance Legal who provide legal counsel on corporate and trademark matters to Condé Nast and our parent company, Advance Publications.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Proactively manage the complex and busy diary of the General Counsel, ensuring that meetings and engagements are appropriately and sensitively prioritized and managed to meet the requirements of the General CounselAct as a conduit for the flow of high level and sensitive information and use sound judgement and problem-solving skills when making recommendations regarding tasks, events, deadlines etc.Ensure all mail and email is properly and efficiently dealt with, keeping track of issues that are pending and following up relevant responsesUndertake research and collate information as needed in support of the General CounselArrange, plan itineraries for, and coordinate travel, meetings and away days for the General Counsel to ensure objectives are met, with the best use of time, and value for moneyProcess General Counsel’s expensesMaintain confidentiality and a high level of discretion at all timesTake responsibility for the safe custody and maintenance of all relevant electronic and paper documents, files, and recordsProcess all invoices and expenses for costs incurred by members of the Legal teamAssisting with internal administration between Legal and other shared service departments (i.e. IT, Finance, Comms, Ops and HR)Providing assistance on the planning and delivery of internal events and informal workshops. This includes support with speaker management and agenda development, responsibility for logistics and deliveryLiaising with a wide range of business and personal contacts including clients, senior executives within the organization and externally, restaurants and hotelsAssisting in the creation of presentation materialsBuild relationships within Condé Nast headquarters and offices globallyPerform any other EA related duties or projects as requestedOnboard new starters for the Legal teamSupport with inbox management where necessary

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Experience in a similar Senior role essential; 5+ years experienceInterest in Legal/Publishing desirablePro-active and able to use initiative and have the confidence to work independentlyExtremely organized with exceptional time management skills and able to prioritize efficientlyExperience of supporting a variety of individualsConfident and able to communicate with staff at different levels and across different departments internationallyHelpful to have experience of working in an international environment and building solid working relationships with teams across different countries, cultures, and time zonesExcellent grammar, spelling, drafting, writing and proof-reading ability, including
experience with design and formatting of slides, presentation graphics and imagesExcellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal and relationship
management skillsNumerate, with strong attention to detailAdvanced G-suite skills and a working knowledge of Apple products; Self-driven and motivated, with an ability to show initiative in all situations and the ability to take responsibility for actionsExtremely discreetA friendly, personable, productive and patient manner

The expected base salary range for this position is from $85,000-$105,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
