About the Role
The role of the Executive Assistant is to ensure an effective and efficient office and to represent the executive, both internally and externally, in a manner that corresponds to the professional nature of the office. The role must represent the brand of The New York Times Company and do so in an increasingly digital media world.
You will report to the Chief Brand and Communication Officer, and you should be excited about the world of branding, curious about marketing to millions of people around the world and energized working in a creative environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensure efficient, effective and economical facilitation of general office administration
Communicate and manage the flow of office management policies and procedures
Schedule appointments, interviews, conference calls and meetings, including booking conference rooms
Manage travel bookings of airfare and hotels
Coordinate department-wide communication, meetings and team building events
Assist with smooth onboarding of new team members
Maintain department knowledge base Google Site
Submit monthly Expense Reports
Maintain good working relationships with agencies, consultants, vendors/suppliers and the Facilities Department
Perform other duties as required, including preparing various reports and presentations, coordinate vacation schedules, track invoices, contracts and days off (vacation, personal, sick), etc.
Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience providing administrative support for a senior executive
Experience communicating and building relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the company
Familiarity working in a deadline-driven and highly accountable environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or a related field
Experience in media, brand, or marketing industry
The annual base pay range for this role is between $75,000.00 and $90,000.00.
