The iconic Waldorf Astoria is seeking an Executive Banquets Chef to lead the Banquets Team at the award-winning Las Vegas property!

Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, this luxurious hotel has 389 rooms, 4 food and beverage outlets, and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. This includes a 3-meal restaurant, fine dining restaurant, tea lounge, bar, pool cafe, and in-room dining.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years in a Chef position, management experience within a luxury hotel setting and at least 2 years' experience in banquets. The team is looking for a leader who is detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative. Experience in luxury fine dining is a plus!

What will I be doing? 

\n\n\n

As Executive Banquet Chef, you would be responsible for the coordination, planning and supervision of the production and presentation of food served at all banquet events in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

\n\n\n

 

\n\n\n\nManage and participate in daily banquet culinary operations, to include, but not limited to, preparation and production of meals, supervision of food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability \n\n\n\n\nVisually inspect, select and use quality food and beverage products including, but not limited to, fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and spices \n\n\n\n\nAnalyze Banquet Event Orders to plan and coordinate the food and beverage portion of client functions with Catering and/or Meetings and Conventions/Events \n\n\n\n\nMonitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards \n\n\n\n\nMonitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and assisting with evaluations, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward \n\n\n\n\nRecruit, interview and train team members \n\n\n\n\nAssist in the creation and planning of menus \n\n\n\n

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000.
