Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Asbury Methodist Village, a large upscale continuing care retirement community located in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  Asbury Methodist Village is among the nation’s largest continuing care retirement communities and offers unparalleled events, clubs, and programs.  This community offers several dining venues including a fine dining restaurant with exhibition cooking. This position will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for daily dining service for our independent living residents and catering services. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinarian to provide high-end service to our residents. Candidates should be passionate, highly motivated, and enjoy client and resident interaction.

The successful candidate will:

oversee the daily dining operations including menu planning and controls;ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;have high expectations for quality of food and presentation;have the ability and willingness to develop and train employees; andknowledge of Food Management Systems/Software is preferred.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
