Summary:
The Executive Credit Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing a staff of multiple Senior Regional Credit Officers and/or Regional Credit officers in the credit approval, administration, and review activities for identified multiple business segments and/or geographic regions throughout the Huntington footprint.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages all Commercial Senior Regional Credit Officers.Approves significant credit exposures as defined in credit policy.Assists Chief Credit Officer in the development of commercial loan underwriting standards. Serves as executive sponsor for projects as required. Acts in an advisory role for all aspects of the credit management process.Establishes, implements, and manages administrative and review systems and procedures to protect the quality and profitability of the loan portfolio.Manages credit structuring and negotiation strategy discussions with officer/business unit.Analyzes, underwrites and approves/disapproves credit request exceeding Senior Regional Credit Officers and Regional Credit Officers.Through Senior Regional Credit Officers, identifies potential problem credits and works with loan workout specialists to restructure credits and/or minimize risk for loss.Advises staff, officers and/or business units on the company's overall lending policies. Promotes a culture that results in a moderate-to-low risk portfolio. Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree 15+ years’ experience in credit approval or portfolio management leadershipPreferred Qualifications:
