**Job Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Full time **Work Shift:** Day (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** The Executive Director, Campaign is a senior leader within the Philanthropy team responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and execution of comprehensive fundraising campaigns. This role partners closely with senior leadership, Board members, and Philanthropy staff to develop and implement best-in-class campaign strategies that drive transformational giving and advance institutional priorities. Reporting to the Divisional Vice President, the Executive Director will play a critical role in shaping the future of Philanthropy by leading a large-scale, multi-year campaign that engages key stakeholders and donors at the highest levels. **Job Description:** **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** including but not limited to: 1. Strategic Campaign Leadership: Develop and execute long-term campaign strategies that align with institutional priorities and drive ambitious fundraising goals. Provide thought leadership on campaign planning, structure, and implementation to maximize impact. 2. Collaboration with Leadership: Serve as a key advisor to senior hospital and Philanthropy leadership, working closely with executives, Board members, and physician leaders to secure major, principal, and transformational gifts. 3. Campaign Oversight & Execution: Oversee all aspects of campaign planning and execution, including feasibility studies, goal setting, donor engagement strategies, and progress tracking. 4. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including trustees, donors, and volunteer leaders, to foster a culture of philanthropy and campaign participation. 5. Fundraiser Focus: Provide strategic guidance and partnership to frontline fundraisers, equipping them with the tools, training, and insights necessary to optimize campaign success. 6. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and data insights to track campaign progress, inform strategy, and drive results. Utilize sophisticated reporting to ensure transparency and accountability. 7. Best Practices & Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in campaign management, incorporating innovative approaches that elevate donor engagement and fundraising outcomes. 8. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of campaign professionals, fostering a high-performance culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. 9. Physician & Grateful Patient Engagement: Partner with physician leaders to identify, cultivate, and steward grateful patients, ensuring alignment between clinical priorities and philanthropic opportunities **Competencies:** • Decision Making: Ability to make high-impact decisions that align with institutional strategy and long-term objectives. Operates with a high degree of autonomy, providing leadership across multiple departments and initiatives. • Written Communications: Ability to craft and communicate complex, high-stakes messaging in a clear, compelling, and strategic manner to diverse internal and external audiences, including executive leadership and major donors. • Oral Communications: Ability to engage and influence senior executives, board members, and high-level donors with persuasive and articulate verbal communication skills. • Knowledge: Demonstrates mastery of philanthropy and healthcare fundraising concepts, best practices, and strategic frameworks, applying expertise to guide executive decision-making and campaign execution. • Team Leadership: Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Creates strategic partnerships and drives organizational change. • Customer Service: Ability to champion a culture of donor-centered philanthropy, ensuring exceptional donor engagement and stewardship at all levels. Leads initiatives to enhance service excellence across the organization. **Qualifications & Experience:** • Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in Philanthropy, campaign management, or related fundraising roles within a healthcare, academic, or nonprofit setting. • Proven expertise in leading and executing multi-year, comprehensive fundraising campaigns with ambitious goals. • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives, donors, and institutional leaders. • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, matrixed organization and effectively manage multiple priorities. • Proficiency in data analytics and performance measurement related to campaign fundraising. • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling donor messaging and present to high-level stakeholders. • Experience in guiding and developing high-performing teams. • Knowledge of grateful patient philanthropy, transformational, principal and major gift fundraising, and physician engagement preferred **As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
