Position Summary:
The Executive Director, EHSS Audit, Systems & Performance, will be responsible for leading the Corporate audit program, development of the company strategy, and overseeing the company’s digital platforms and enterprise governance processes. This role will also own global EHSS training as well as the corporate safety and sustainability culture programs to enable industry-leading performance. The role will also lead identification and development of artificial intelligence opportunities to enable more predictive and leading-edge EHSS performance.
Key Responsibilities:
EHSS Strategy Development: Lead the development and periodic refresh of the overarching EHSS strategy to align with the overall company strategy and industry best practices.Corporate EHSS Audit Program: Oversee the corporate EHSS audit program for internal BMS operations, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.Policy and Standards Management: Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s EHSS policy, standards, recommended practices, and guidance documents, utilizing best-in-class knowledge management processes.Performance Reporting: Implement and maintain an metric/performance reporting structure to ensure transparency of EHSS performance, along with key trends, to key stakeholders both internal and external to BMS.Digital Platforms Management: Own and manage the company’s EHSS digital platforms and associated technology to support EHSS initiatives and enhance performance.Artificial Intelligence Integration: Lead the integration of artificial intelligence opportunities within the EHSS digital strategy to enable more predictive and leading-edge EHSS performance.Governance Processes: Establish and maintain robust global governance processes to ensure effective and consistent risk identification and management at all levels of the business.Training Program: Develop and oversee the overall global EHSS training program, including training development and deployment, to ensure respective colleagues are knowledgeable and compliant with EHSS standards.Safety and Sustainability Culture: Lead the development and implementation of safety and sustainability culture programs to enable successful execution of EHSS programs and achieve industry-leading performance.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHSS considerations into business processes and decision-making.Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to the EHSS Audit, Systems and Performance, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in EHSS to ensure the company remains at the forefront of EHSS performance across audit, systems and performance.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, Audit, Digital, Statistics or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Minimum 12 years relevant experience.Extensive experience in EHSS management, including strategy development, audit, systems, and performance.Experience in risk identification and management processes at a company level.Broad knowledge of all EHSS disciplines.Proven track record of developing and implementing EHSS policies, standards, and practices within a large multinational organization.Contemporary knowledge of EHSS digital platforms and associated technology.Experience in identifying and integrating artificial intelligence solutions to enhance EHSS performance.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
