Job Description Summary: The Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, under general direction, plans and implements a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for Texas A&M-Fort Worth. Promotes advancement of Texas A&M-Fort Worth by enhancing name recognition and public perception through strategic marketing channels and internal and external communication. Responsibilities: - Identifies critical opportunities in the marketing and communications area and assists in the development of marketing and communications strategies. Analyzes and identifies key marketing and communication opportunities specific to Texas A&M-Fort Worth. Develops strategic marketing plans.- Manages the internal and external communications systems for Texas A&M-Fort Worth. Oversees the creation and distribution of internal newsletters and announcements. Coordinates external communications with Texas A&M University System leadership, including press releases, media inquiries, and public statements.- Establishes and maintains effective and cooperative relationships with administrators, businesses, community leaders, project stakeholders, representatives of communications media, and governmental organizations. Builds and fosters partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and government entities to support Texas A&M-Fort Worth's initiatives and enhance its community presence. - Collaborates with System Member administrators to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with System priorities.- Creates programs, activities, and ceremonies to announce awards, project milestones, and other special activities. Assists in event planning and provides communications advancement services. Provides expertise in communication strategies to enhance event visibility and participation.- Defines and monitors advertising content and promotional messages, ensuring the goals of the member or department are communicated consistently through brand management.- Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or other applicable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Ten years of related experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Provide strategic leadership.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Proven ability to provide strategic communications guidance and counsel to senior level administrators.- Ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external teams.- Ability to work independently and proactively.- Attention to detail and follow through skills. - Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
