EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR THE OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR ENERGY AND CLIMATE (VPEC), The Climate Project, will lead the strategic and operational integration of MIT’s global climate agenda, positioning the Institute as a world leader in climate innovation; and work with the VPEC to guide the Climate Project’s vision, drive the implementation, foster interdisciplinary collaboration across the entire Institute, and cultivate high-impact partnerships beyond campus. This role is central to ensuring that MIT’s climate efforts are cohesive, well-resourced, and positioned to address the climate challenge with urgency, creativity, and purpose. The Climate Project is a bold, first-of-its-kind, Institute-wide initiative to accelerate transformative climate solutions through research, education, innovation, and global engagement. This effort is the highest Presidential priority and the largest direct investment the Institute has ever made in funding climate work. This will leverage the entire MIT research and education enterprise, including all DLCIs.
