Position Summary:
The Executive Director of Patient Access Experience will lead the strategy and operational excellence of patient access programs for Travere’s approved and pipeline products. This newly formed role will oversee an existing team and enhance:
• Hub services, specialty pharmacies, and distributors
• Patient support and affordability programs
• Patient access marketing
• REMS program experience

Responsibilities:


• Optimize Patient Access Experience
• Lead a best-in-class patient experience program geared towards the best possible customer experience for patients, patient’s caregivers and prescriber offices
• Ensure department is optimized for current needs, future patient growth, and pipeline
• Develop near- and long-term patient experience strategy and operational objectives
• Align KPIs with tools and measures to assure transparency and success
• Drive the continuous improvement and integration of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
• Lead best-in-class patient experience team
• Build and lead a high-performing and diverse team
• Hold team accountable to high standards, leveraging metrics, clear and consistent communication, and motivational skills to drive team performance
• Ensure commercial compliance with regulations and relevant internal policies (including S&OP, workflow development, etc.)
• Champion cross-functional collaboration in service of holistic patient experience
• Actively contribute to annual brand planning process and business reviews
• Work collaboratively with Access and Reimbursement (ARM) team, Sales, Marketing and Market access and Payer Account teams to provide and gather insights that allow us to better address the needs of our customers and patients
• Influence and provide key input on the company culture and approach

Education/Experience Requirements:


• Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
• 12-15+ years of pharma/biotech or related experience
• 7+ years of experience working in patient services/hub services and/or specialty pharmacies and experience with direct strategic responsibilities for the patient services
• Experience in building a comprehensive patient services program in the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable, successfully running and improving Patient Services
• Minimum of 6-8 years of previous line management experience with the ability to effectively manage performance, engage team members, provide coaching, and respond to situations affecting staff

Additional Skills/Experience:

• Experience includes responsibilities for strategy development, departmental/functional business planning, resource development and management, and budget management
• Experience with specialty pharmacy products / products acquired through Specialty Pharmacy networks
• Experience in managing access complexities associated with a new to market medication
• Nephrology, rare disease, REMs experience preferred
• Proven leadership, strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven record of strong internal and external relationships, including ability to effectively liaise with patient advocates
• Ability to resolve issues / educate virtually (within access & reimbursement / case management)
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Excellent time management skills including the ability to multi-task on various projects and to prioritize under fixed schedules and in high pressure situations
• Ability to adapt to modification and changes to project plans, demonstrating flexibility to implement new strategies and tactics to accommodate these changes
• Computer skills (basic Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Flexibility to travel as needed (20%) for company meetings and specific business needs
• All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.

Target Base Pay Range:

$238,000.00 - $320,000.00
