Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic thinker to join our team as the Executive Director, Strategy & Operations and chief advisor to the President of Data & Analytics. The role will be a key leadership role within the organization and will partner closely with Analytics leadership and internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic, operational, and fiscal initiatives across an organization that has scaled rapidly over the past several years. Effective communication skills will be key in collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders across all CVS Health’s businesses.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the leaders to identify and articulate the value proposition of analytics initiatives to internal stakeholders and executive leadership. Translate complex technical concepts into compelling business cases that demonstrate the impact of data-driven insights on the organization's goals
Drive overall strategic planning process for the Analytics organization, including developing annual priorities, impact assessments, and related communications
Establish deep cross-functional relationships across the enterprise to ensure solutions and initiatives are effectively designed and implemented, with a focus on measurable outcomes/impact
Take the lead on initiatives as well as special projects in collaboration with our enterprise business partners, including Communications, Enterprise Strategy, Finance, and Legal
Develop internal and external presentations of organizational strategies and initiatives
Act as an analytics product owner translating business needs into analytics projects and actions
Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader to the Analytics organization
Oversee key operational workstreams including strategic planning, budget, departmental communications and meetings
Serve as a key communicator and influencer, ensuring effective and timely communication between Analytics and other departments
Identify areas of improvement for organizational processes and potential opportunities to expand the team’s impact; Make recommendations
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience leading analyses and initiatives with track record of business impact
5+ years of experience in developing and executing strategic plans and initiatives
Minimum 10 years total business experience
5+ years of people management experience
5+ years of experience with strategy consulting or on strategy teams in large companies
Experience building executive level deliverables (e.g., story lining a presentation)
Ability to identify opportunities and frame business problems in an analytics context to address organizational challenges; Proven track record of utilizing a data-driven approach to drive strategy
Strong experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and other productivity tools
Familiarity with core analytics concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to non-technical business partners
Entrepreneurial, can move projects ahead and problem solve obstacles encountered without senior leader input; anticipates roadblocks prior to their occurring
Understanding of industry trends in emerging technology and analytics
Healthcare and/or Retail experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor's degree in quantitative field. Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$175,100.00 - $334,750.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
