Overview
This position is responsible for the overall operations, business development, service quality and financial performance of The Richardson School (TRS). Provides leadership and direction for TRS facilitating alignment with the philosophy, goals and direction of MyPath. Develops, monitors, and evaluates all aspects of the service delivery system to: promote high quality and responsible growth, increase diversification of services and customer base, and maximize performance to strengthen TRS’s position and deliver quality education and supportive services. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides leadership regarding company needs and growth opportunities to improve service quality and performance, facilitates collaboration in planning sessions with TRS’ leaders to develop plans for growth, services and care. Develops and executes the TRS strategic business plan in alignment with MyPath and TRS’s core priorities. Is ultimately responsible for the achievement of identified programs and outcomes.
Regularly reviews and evaluates services provided against TRS/MyPath’s mission, operational and financial targets, educational outcomes and other identified quality benchmarks. Recommends to MyPath Executive leadership proposals to modify, expand, and/or discontinue programs/services based on findings with the overall goal to increase quality of education and supportive services offered.
Monitors school and other program enrollments and provides leadership, program visibility, and community networking to maintain optimum enrollment levels. Provides leadership in identifying and implementing innovative marketing strategies for TRS and its quality services and formulates development projects to capitalize on new business opportunities that support MyPath goals and objectives. Monitors industry trends and maintains awareness of federal, state, and county initiatives that impact business sustainability and growth.
Actions strengthen the financial position of TRS: in partnership with Finance develops annual and new program budgets with input from Operations personnel; manages to budget and holds internal leaders accountable to the same; reviews financial reports and oversees corrective action to address negative variances; develops proposals and negotiates contracts and rates; facilitates operational change to address changes in funding or revenue steams.
Collaborates effectively with MyPath company leadership on intercompany projects and initiatives including but not limited to marketing, strategy, information systems, and administrative projects. Facilitates the development, implementation and consistent practice of TRS and Company standards.
Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the organizational structure and prepares recommendations for executive review. Develops new program policies, procedures, quality assurance tactics and service delivery systems that protect and promote the health, safety, and overall well being of students and staff.
Monitors and reviews student, parental and district complaints and grievances; investigations; and reports of abuse, neglect and misappropriation following TRS/MyPath policy and applicable state/federal regulations. Develops plans to address possible performance, quality and safety concerns partnering with Company human resources and operations personnel as needed. Assesses potential risks and in collaboration with appropriate leaders, develops appropriate risk management strategies.
Performs human resource management and payroll functions for direct reports including interviewing and selection; orientation, training and performance monitoring and evaluations, coaching, counseling and corrective action and resolution of employee concerns. Acts as a resource on these matters for supervisors partnering with corporate Human Resources on matters related to performance, accountability compensation and benefits etc. Monitors staffing levels and overtime. Maintains clear, objective documentation. Supports staff in their professional development.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships within and between all departments, school districts and other referral sources, and individuals within the community. Is an ambassador for MyPath: maintains a current perspective about services offered by other MyPath companies and represents all of MyPath when dealing with referrals, admissions and inquiries in general cross-referring whenever possible.
Conducts self in a positive, respectful and collaborative manner in accordance with the MyPath Beliefs and Behaviors demonstrating proactive actions and decision making to ensure supportive work relationships and a healthy and safe environment for participants and staff. Uses only company approved behavior management techniques in interactions with participants.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelors Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Business Administration or related field required.
Master’s degree in related field preferred. Equivalent in demonstrated applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of five years of work experience in the human services field, with a minimum of three years of leadership experience that demonstrates an ability to lead, plan and manage operational and financial aspects of the business.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with prior work experience in using software and vendor programs to develop reports, prepare documents, etc.
Demonstrates flexibility, autonomy, responsiveness, sound judgment and a high level of initiative.
Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and respect through appearance, interactions with others and engagement; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and maintains self-composure and self-control under stressful conditions.
