Executive Director Digital Self Service
Overview First Citizens in seeking an influential Digital Technology Executive to add to the Chief Technology Officer’s Senior Leadership Team. The Executive Director of Digital Self Service requires a creative, solution-oriented thinker, capable of executing digital technology strategy, in partnership with business leaders, on a mission to enhance the customer’s experience. The role is responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of the technology self-service digital strategy for full-service banking. This includes online banking, commercial, small business and retail mobile online banking which serves customers 24x7. This leader will also have scope over customer authentication, money movement, combining of accounts, etc. As a trusted, seasoned expert this role also interacts w/all other platform leaders to create the proper functions and experiences. Responsibilities System Oversight: Utilizes knowledge of business needs, strategic objective, and individual lines of business to implement systems necessary for enterprise initiatives. Oversees and monitors systems, developing solutions and strategies that fulfill technological needs Open Architecture: Partners with Enterprise Architecture to ensure investments align to the reference architecture, continually looking for opportunities to modernize, simplify and re-use whilst eliminating obsolescence and technical debt. Business Strategy: Partners with lines of business and senior leadership to develop technology roadmaps that support business needs based on the Bank's strategic direction. Leverages IT resources to better understand customer operations and processes, development opportunities, and business requirements. Business Support: Manages ongoing risk assessments and monitoring of critical areas. Creates an annual budget, monitors department expenses, and takes appropriate action to meet financial management targets. Vendor Management: Establishes, develops, and maintains vendor relationships throughout the procurement and delivery of new technologies. Negotiates with vendors as appropriate on the Bank’s behalf. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 15 years of experience in Information Technology, Systems Application Development, and Information Technology management Additional Requirements Knowledge of technology disciplines such as application architecture and system design, network engineering, information architecture, etc. Ability to drive strategic direction and take initiative Ability to effectively communicate and present to Senior Executives.
