Executive Director of Performing Arts **POSITION DETAILS** Lehman College is the City University of New York's only four-year college in the Bronx, serving the borough and surrounding region as an intellectual, economic, and cultural center. Lehman provides undergraduate and graduate studies in the liberal arts and sciences and professional education within a dynamic research environment. With a diverse student body of more than 14,000 students and more than 81,000 alumni, Lehman offers more than 90 undergraduate and graduate programs. Lehman College seeks an Executive Director to manage Lehman’s multi-stage performance and event facilities, which includes the day-to-day operation of the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts. Our performance and event facilities strengthen our community presence and serve as accessible public spaces through our theatrical offerings, event conferences, CUNY students’ showcases, musical performances, commencement services, guest lectures, and a wide range of events. The Senior Director will be responsible for leading the creation and nurturing of relationships between Lehman’s performing arts organizations and other arts organizations in the borough of the Bronx and beyond. The Executive Director of Performing Arts and Event Venues reports to the Vice President of Administration and Finance and their main focus is on operational and financial leadership of the Theaters and related event spaces, long-term planning and overall growth, and developing effective workflows and cultivating projects that help expand and enhance the theater account. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Providing strategic and financial leadership for the performing arts and event venues. • Developing and implementing long-term plans to drive growth and sustainability. • Overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence in theater and event space management. • Cultivating new projects and partnerships to expand programming and revenue opportunities. • Streamlining workflows to enhance productivity and optimize resource utilization. • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to elevate the institution’s cultural and artistic impact. **QUALIFICATIONS** This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College. Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ increasing management responsibility in performing arts facilities or theatre experience required. Advanced degree preferred. Experience in theater arts management, booking, marketing, audience development and production. Experience running a non-profit performing arts facility in a complex campus, multi-stage and multicultural community environment. Experience raising funds from individual, corporate, government and foundation sources to expand programming, support capital improvements and meet the community’s needs. **CUNY TITLE** Associate Administrator **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS** Salary commensurate with education and experience. **$155,000-$171,343.** CUNY's benefits contribute significantly to total compensation, supporting health and wellness, financial well-being, and professional development.
