In addition, manages the leader of Mayo Clinic’s Heritage Hall and partners on opportunities to integrate unique in-person and digital experiences into the benefactor journey to establish strong connections between philanthropy and our history, mission, and values. Sets the vision, strategy, and operational plans for these distinct yet cohesive functions and aligns staffing and budget resources to drive execution and meet expectations for excellence. Identifies high touch yet scalable approaches for impact reporting, legally required financial reporting, and physical and digital recognition that meet the needs and expectations of benefactors giving from $1,000 to $100 million+. Embraces innovation to elevate benefactor experiences and is attuned to trends, technology and other solutions that are setting best practices across the fundraising industry. Presents compelling business cases and builds consensus with internal partners and leaders to adopt new solutions. Writes and leads application of policies and best practices that guide gift framing, naming opportunities, and post-gift reporting. Directly reviews and approves gift agreements and participates in transformational gift opportunities. Protects the Mayo Clinic brand by advising on risk and reputation management issues that may emerge from philanthropic activities. Manages negotiating and implementing vendor contracts. Participates on institutional committees. **Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required. Seven to ten years' experience in donor relations, communications, or marketing required, including at least five years of Development experience and at least three years leading a high-performing team. Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising required. Strong leadership, team building, problem-solving, and project management skills. Works effectively and collaboratively in a complex, consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork. Trains, mentors, and leads employees in a remote work environment. Requires exceptional oral and written communication skills, in addition to sharp editing skills that elevate the team's capabilities and work products. Develops and moves multiple projects forward simultaneously with a high degree of independence and autonomy while meeting deadlines. Seasoned judgment and ability to justify recommendations. Has strong analytical abilities, continuously improves program outcomes, and provides accurate financial analysis and budget forecasting. Inspires trust and confidence through communications with internal and external audiences, including Mayo benefactors at the highest levels. The ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is essential.
