Responsible for EHS strategy, policies, procedures & standards
Develop the HSE & Asset Integrity strategy for AGL encompassing employees, contractors, and customers to ensure zero incidents.
Finalize the HSE standards and guidelines applicable for the GAs including on-site safety management plan, site emergency response plan, and contractor safety system.
Design and develop procedures for Emergency Response and Disaster Management Plan along with Business Continuity Plans.
Provide inputs to improve HSE practices to government and regulatory agencies in the country to help design future regulations & specifications.
Develop new effective solutions for HSE management such as E-permits, online action tracking, online NM and hazard and safety suggestions reporting, Documentary reviews like COP/SOP amendments, new equipment solutions.
Develop new ways to reduce the impacts of Natural Gas on the environment by commissioning different programs.
Create the architecture to provide technical support in emergency and non-routine activities involving new commissioning and projects.
Compliance responsibility Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements including regulation, standards and code of practice set for HSE. Engage and coordinate third party audits to augment and complement internal HSE team. Develop an annual audit plan and ensure regular visits to key asset locations for audits. Guide and oversee the scheduling of all HSE audits like Emergency Reporting and Disaster Management Plan (ERPDM) , OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001, Internal & External Audits. Manage and learn from escalated HSE and AI incidents from Region/GA and provide updated guidance/processes to all parties concerned. Prepare framework for inspections and Initial investigation of incidents.
Training & communication responsibility Lead the communication and training programs and plans for employees, contractors and customers on importance and benefits of HSE and Asset Integrity. Provide guidance and develop best in class processes to ensure assets are designed, constructed, operated, and maintained to deliver optimum performance, reliability, and safety. Capability Development Ensure capability development for the team through performance management, training, and mentoring to drive high performance and engagement and enable achievement of current and future business needs.
Education Qualification : Postgraduate/ Graduate in Mechanical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or Degree/Diploma in Safety Mgmt.
Experience : 3 – 7 Years of which at least 2 years in City Gas Distribution business
Experience in project environment preferred
