Position Title:   Executive Function Coach, Moss Scholars Program 

Department:     Student Affairs

Reports to:       Associate Director, Moss Scholars Coordinator

Appointment:   Full-Time: 40 hours per week/10 months

Status:             Exempt

The Bradley University Student Support Center invites candidates for the full time permanent 10-month position of Executive Function Coach serving the Moss Scholars Program. The Executive Function Coach is responsible for the academic success and support of students in the Moss Scholars Program. The Executive Function Coach will teach students how to organize, plan, prioritize, manage time, maintain focus, self-assess, and study efficiently. The Executive Function Coach will provide: individual customized supports; document interactions and interventions; and issue student alerts. The Executive Function Coach will coordinate with stakeholders, student's faculty and campus resources. In addition, the Executive Function Coach will help students identify, employ, and evaluate tools and strategies that address their specific needs. The Executive Function Coach reports to the Associate Director, Moss Scholars Coordinator within the Division of Student Affairs.

Specific responsibilities include:

One on One Coaching (70% of time)Academic case managementAssistance with coursework technologyAssistance with schedule registration and deadlinesAssistance with semester planning, weekly schedule, and weekly checklistsCheck-ins and guidance (phone, text or teleconference)Creation of to-do lists, rubrics, and teaching students how to break down large, complex assignments into smaller, more manageable tasks.Developing student self-advocacy for appropriate resources and supportsDeveloping study habitsFacilitation of communication with advisors, instructors, and other campus resourcesAdministrative Duties (30% of time)Communication with other Bradley University faculty and staffDocumentation of student interactionsMonitoring and supervision of student and student progress Other duties as assignedParticipating in Moss Scholar Bridge program welcoming students onto campusParticipating in weekly staff meetings and committees as assignedReferral to other supportive offices on campusSome evening and weekend work

The successful qualified candidate will identify and communicate;

A Bachelor's degree (master's preferred)Previous experience working with neurodiverse students and students with executive function differences (preferred)The ability to motivate students to reach their goalsExceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication (verbal and written) skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skills,A willingness to embrace change and build positive relationships within the Bradley University communityExperience working with multiple students simultaneouslyA commitment to the University and Student Affairs values of student success, knowledge & discovery, inclusiveness & connectivity, and excellence
