Purpose of the position
Plan and purchase relevant materials associated with specific spreader models to ensure sufficient supply of materials are present to accommodate production demands directed towards specific spreader manufacturing projects.
Responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to meet production and operational requirements. This role involves analyzing demand, planning materials, negotiating with suppliers, and improving procurement processes.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Material Planning:
+ Develop and execute material requirements plans based on production schedules and forecasts.
+ Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
+ Plan materials by considering factors such as lead time, consumption history, and essential requirements.
+ Update the monthly shortages file by project to ensure all material shortages are addressed for each specific project.
Purchasing Activities:
+ Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
+ Closely monitor overdue orders to ensure timely delivery of issued purchase orders.
+ Monitor & evaluate the supplier’s delivery accuracy performance to ensure accurate goods arrival to meet scheduled production activities.
+ To effectively track material demands in the system and ensure timely order placement for on-time material arrival, facilitating scheduled production activities (conversion of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders in SAP).
+ To troubleshoot discrepancies between Purchase Orders and Invoices in ThinClient software, including price, quantity, handling, packing, and freight costs.
Inventory Management:
+ Maintain optimal safety stock levels for high-demand & active materials.
+ Track inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess stock.
+ Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
+ Communicate material availability and risks to stakeholders.
+ Support new product launches by ensuring the availability of required materials.
Process Improvement:
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
+ Degree of Logistic, Supply Chain Management or any related field.
Experience:
+ Experience in material planning with min. 2 years.
Skills:
+ Detail oriented and persistent.

Competencies:
+ Proficient in SAP system.
+ Proficient in MS Office / Google Sheets
+ To be acquainted with Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders & Invoices.
+ Proficient in ThinClient software.
