The successful candidate must have a proven track record as a creative newscast producer or executive producer. Candidates must have strong leadership skills and news judgment, the ability to showcase important stories, and know how to win “Breaking News and Weather”. As a key newsroom manager, the EP will recruit talented staff, help craft the station's daily content, and work with producers, the assignment desk, our crews in the field, and our digital team. The EP will work closely with the News Director and Assistant News Director to set and uphold the high standards for how CBS 17 newscasts are produced and executed as well as content across all digital platforms. Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent At least 5 years’ experience in television or radio broadcast/production Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff Detail orientedExcellent verbal, written, and analytical skillsStrong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectationsUtilize state-of-the-art television technology
