Job Summary/Description:

WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina is searching for an experienced Executive Producer to join our management team. The ideal candidate will have excellent news judgment, refined communication skills, and a creative vision to teach and inspire. We are looking for a leader with journalistic integrity and an aggressive approach to breaking news. WIS needs an Executive Producer who can motivate and lead our award-winning team of News Producers and Reporters.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited, to):

• Responsible for daily execution of our Live.Local.Now and First Alert Weather brands.
• Work closely with the News Director and Assistant News Director to craft daily content decisions on multiple platforms.
• Refine showcasing for our dynamic on-air newscasts.
• Act with urgency and immediacy. Show our news team how to be first and best with the story on all platforms, including television, WISTV.com, social media, and streamed content.
• You will work in collaboration with the Digital Content Manager to ensure the execution of our digital-first strategy on all platforms (website, social media, our news and weather apps, OTT, and television).

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Qualified applicants have a minimum of 3-5 years of line-producing experience, with preferably 2 years in an Executive Producer or comparable leadership role.
