The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm’s distinctive culture. Associate, Sustainable Finance Group (SFG)
Office: New York City

The Sustainable Finance Group (“SFG”) is tasked with developing Goldman Sachs’ expertise, extending its capabilities, and delivering those capabilities across the firm’s divisions and clients. SFG is responsible for helping the firm achieve its goal of $750B of sustainable finance by 2030 and, more broadly, working to make Goldman Sachs a leader in sustainable finance and prepare the firm to effectively manage risk and meet evolving and multi-faceted regulatory expectations. 

This position allows candidates to develop a strong understanding of sustainability and its relevance to various clients and other stakeholders. The candidate will work closely on SFG’s external engagement strategy and provide project management support across key workstreams including the execution of key SFG stakeholder and public engagements and supporting recognition of the firm’s sustainability work through reporting and external-facing events. Specific responsibilities may include:

Manage external strategy planning including forward and historical engagement tracking and monitoring for key external events/convenings where SFG leadership participatesContribute to prep and logistics for SFG travel including semi-annual trips to Europe/Asia and frequent domestic trips Contribute to planning and execution of key SFG external events including our presence at NYC Climate Week and COPs (annual climate and nature conferences)Support ongoing work related to our external partnerships, events and planning Provide project management support and execution across various strategic workstreams including sustainability reporting

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
